Trans-Siberian Orchestra (often abbreviated as TSO) is a rock orchestra founded in 1996 by Paul O'Neill, who immediately approached long time friends Jon Oliva, Robert Kinkel, and Al Pitrelli. The band's musical style incorporates progressive rock, symphonic metal, and heavy metal, with influences from classical music.
